About Saltimbanco

Saltimbanco is Cirqui de Soleil’s longest-running touring show and has performed since 1992 to wide-spread acclaim to sell-out audiences in Europe, North and South America, Australia, Japan, and New Zealand for more than 11.5 million enthusiastic fans.
Classic Cirque du Soleil at its best, Saltimbanco is a thrilling and kaleidoscopic celebration of awe-inspiring artistry and agility. With a cast of 50 high-caliber artists hailing from 20 different countries, Saltimbanco features breathtaking acrobatics and unbelievable athleticism during solo spotlights and epic ensembles. From the seemingly impossible balancing, jumping, and spinning during the Chinese Poles or the Russian Swing to the gravity-defying Bungees and Trapeze, the crowd pleasing Juggling and Acrobatic Bicycle, to the celebrated and very unique Clowns. Technical expertise and extravagant design are woven together by uplifting spectacular costumes, amazing lighting, humor and enchanting music and magic. Full of colour, amusement and amazement, Saltimbanco is a fun show for the whole family.
Saltimbanco- from the Italian “saltare in banco,” which literally means “to jump on a bench”- explores the urban experience in all its myriad forms: the people who live there, their idiosyncrasies and likeness, families and groups, the hustle and bustle of the street and the towering heights of skyscrapers. A signature show, it is inspired by the urban fabric of the metropolis and its colorful inhabitants. Decidedly baroque in its visual, the show’s eclectic cast of characters draws spectators into a fanciful, dreamlike world, an imaginary city where diversity is a cause for hope.

City of Digital Lights

The Nighttime Wonderland of Malaysia Located in the city of Shah Alam, i-City is a one-of-a-kind theme-park where all the main attractions are made of plastic and millions of bright LED lights. Similar to Elmer Long’s Bottle Tree Ranch, during the day, i-City’s artificial forest of maple and pine trees really comes to life at night. Made out of plastic and fitted with colorful LEDs, they put on a light show unlike any other.

Pilates, My Loves

Getting fit and healthy is part of everyone's lifestyle. I am not into skinny, thin or whatever they call it. Skinny doesn’t necessarily mean healthy; and in most cases, if you are ‘skinny’ you may not be healthy at all! I preferred my body tone, tighten and firm. Look at Bianca Gonzales ( pilates and yoga) , Iya Villania ( pilates and running) , Karylle (she run, does pilates and eat healthy )  and I just love Angel Locsin's voluptuous bod! ( dream on! ) ha ha.

They said I don't need to go to the gym because I only need toning ( roots) ha ha. I can lose or gain weight if I want to. And my Metabolic Age is 24. he he. If someone's metabolic age is lower than his or her actual age, it suggests that the body is in good health, while a metabolic age higher than the actual age indicates that someone may be experiencing health problems. Watch out guys!

I've tried going to the gym years ago. I did cardio and toning. I got so buff,  my trainer said it's normal for starters. But, I stopped after 2 months because of my work schedule. I tried running at Pelaez Sports on my restdays too, due to change in my sched I stopped, never get the chance to run again.

So now, I decided to try Pilates.

Daily Desciples | Devotional

Crosswalk Devotionals
Today's Reading: Psalm 31-32Acts 23:16-35

Today's Thoughts: Before You Set Out

When the cloud remained over the tabernacle a long time, the Israelites obeyed the LORD's order and did not set out.  Sometimes the cloud was over the tabernacle only a few days; at the LORD's command they would encamp, and then at his command they would set out. Sometimes the cloud stayed only from evening till morning, and when it lifted in the morning they set out. Whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud lifted, they set out. Whether the cloud stayed over the tabernacle for two days or a month or a year, the Israelites would remain in camp and not set out; but when lifted set out.Numbers 9:19-22 (NIV)

The words “set out” are so prevalent in this section of Scripture. When God commanded, the Israelites set out in obedience. If God did not command, the Israelites stayed encamped. Jesus said to His disciples in Matthew 16:24, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.”  As believers, we are commanded to follow Jesus. Many times we act as if God should be following our desires, our goals and our agendas. Jesus doesn’t follow us. He commands us to be obedient and follow Him. We have the presence of the Lord dwelling within us. We can be led like the Israelites by watching for His lead and listening to His voice through the Word of God.

There are times He tell us to “go” and there are times He tells us “to be still and know that He is God.” Following Jesus leads us to the tops of mountains as well as through the valley of Baca. But He is there, leading and guiding and loving us through it. We will learn to weep with Him as we see things that hurt His heart and rejoice with Him as we embrace the things that bring Him joy. One thing is for certain, He will never leave you or forsake you. Our tendency is to be tempted to leave Him, never the other way around.

Today, be sure that you spend time in His word, listening for His counsel and ask Him to help you follow His lead. Make His footsteps your pathway as you turn to Jesus throughout the day in obedience before you set out. source

My Place In This World

Finding ones place in this world, just a little space of comfort, in which we feel we belong. Something we always look forward to. A searching. Some may find it, some maybe lost, but, at the end, you will always find your right place in this world.

 And I found mine.

Amazing, He is! ♥

Yes, it's too early, haha. It's like 3am, right?! Anyways, me and my hubby watched The Amazing Spider-Man last thursday at SM. SM is located uptown, so we have to travel 700miles. SM has digital theaters, the most advanced in the city. And, their cinemas are clean, no ratatouille doing a tom ang jerry thing..haha.

We decided to go for the HD version because I have issues with the 3D. I am not comfortable wearing glasses inside a very dark room. There was one time, I kept on removing my 3D glasses, so I just wasted money paying for it. And it hurt my eyes too. Ignorante! haha

Like any other super hero movie, it's based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. It's actually a "reboot" as they call it of the Spider-Man film franchise.

The storyline is very detailed, from childhood to highschool until he was bitten. The movie is more realistic compared to the first franchise. What's good is, it gives emphasis on relationship with family, and, of course, Spider Man's love interest. Though, it didn't mention about the famous line " with great power,  comes great responsibility". I was waiting for that!

But to be honest, I like this one better than the previous franchise. Yes! because of Andrew Garfield! ♥ Two thumbs up!

Organize your Life Part I

I haven't updated my page for a while. Graveyard...tsk tsk. Anyways, I went to Handyman the other day with my family, and they have a lot of On Sale items! Like 70% utmost! Since I got married, I shop useful things that will help organize our things. Well, I have a thing for Interior Designing, so I'm in awe when I see simple cute things I can use, I call it " a decor with a purpose". Something that is useful and looks nice.

Here's what I bought:

Toothbrush Holder. Simple and modern. It's 50% off, so I paid Php 75.00 for it. Nice, eh?

Fabric Mesh Caddy. Hang Me! It's 70% off, so I got it for Php 75.00.

Shoe Under. I got them Online. Paid Php 500.00 for 4 pieces.

The shoe under is a great way to store up to 12 pairs of shoes. It has 12 pockets to keep shoes neatly separated. Designed to keep your shoes dust and bug free, it is made from quality, breathable materials and has a zippered clear see through cover that allows you to find the right pair of shoes easily. You can place it under your bed. Give me some SPACE! hehe

Nah, forgot to post my Spidey date. Andrew Garfield ! hehe. Maybe I can post his bio next time. <grinning>

Holding On

To what extent can you hold on? That depends. Holding on is good but sometimes it's the opposite..

GOOD

Why, good? because it opens a door for hope. When we hope, we think and expect a positive outcome that relates to an event or circumstances in our life. With hope, we give chances, we try and never give up.

BAD

Because when hope fails....don't be a hypocrite! of course it hurts! And when we get hurt, it develops more negative feelings and worst hatred.

So that's why I said " it depends" ...because some things are worth holding on and some... well, we have to let them go.

The post is so vague, right? I intend it that way. hehe

Here's a song by William Philips: HOLD ON
